Hi, I’m chanelle.
I’m a systems-trained therapist who works with adults, teens, and couples navigating complex trauma, shame, burnout, and the relationships that shape how they experience themselves.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, perceptive, and very good at functioning. They may understand why they respond the way they do and still find that insight alone has not changed how things feel in their body, their relationships, or their everyday life.
My approach is conversational, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity. You do not need to arrive with the right language or a perfectly organized version of your story. We can start with what is happening now and make room for the context that helped shape it.
Therapy with me is not about turning you into a more acceptable version of yourself. It is about understanding what your responses have been trying to do for you, creating more choice, and building greater trust in your own voice.
Before the therapist’s chair
Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than a decade working in project management for a behavioral health IT company and several years in the fitness and nutrition world as a group fitness instructor and nutrition coach. Across those spaces, I saw how easily competence, discipline, and even “wellness” can become another way to perform. Disconnection and burnout can sneak up on you, even if you’re spending hours a week in the gym or doing self-care.
Those experiences shape how I work. I pay attention to the relationships, workplaces, expectations, and larger systems surrounding you. I also understand that your relationship with your body, food, movement, rest, and health does not exist in a vacuum. Therapy gives us room to get curious about all of it without turning your life into another improvement plan.
Context matters
I am not interested in treating you like a collection of symptoms. We have to consider the relationships, expectations, identities, and systems affecting you because what looks personal often has a much larger context.
Your body is part of the story
Your body is not a side project or a problem to solve. It’s worthwhile to notice where you brace, disconnect, push past your limits, or struggle to trust what you need. The goal isn’t perfect regulation, that’s not possible. What is possible is a more honest and workable relationship with yourself.

CLINICAL FOUNDATION
As a systems-trained therapist, I consider the individual person alongside the relationships, environments, and sociocultural contexts affecting their experience.
My work is informed by Internal Family Systems, the NeuroAffective Relational Model, Emotionally Focused Therapy, cognitive behavioral approaches, and attention to the body and nervous system. I use these frameworks flexibly rather than asking you to fit into a predetermined process.
